Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Note: This privacy policy is a starting draft to explain how Pixel Morpher handles data. It is not legal advice. Please consult a legal professional for your jurisdiction.
Overview
Pixel Morpher is designed with privacy in mind. We don't require accounts, don't store your images on our servers, and collect minimal data. This policy explains what information we do collect and how it's used.
Information we collect
Images and prompts
When you use Pixel Morpher to generate an image, your prompt (and any uploaded reference image) is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. We do not store your prompts or images on our servers. The generated image is returned directly to your browser and exists only in your browser's memory until you download it or navigate away.
Cookies
We use one functional cookie to enforce usage limits:
pm_gen_used— A cookie set after you generate an image, used to track that you've used your free generation. This cookie contains only the value "1" and expires after one year. It's HttpOnly and not accessible to JavaScript.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies for marketing purposes.
IP addresses
Your IP address is used temporarily to enforce per-visitor rate limits. This information is stored in server memory (and temporarily on disk in non-production environments) and resets periodically. We do not use IP addresses for tracking or analytics.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused: it collects anonymized, aggregated data about page views and does not use cookies or track individual visitors across sessions. No personal data is collected by the analytics service.
Third-party services
OpenAI
Image generation is powered by OpenAI's API. When you submit a prompt and/or image, this data is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's handling of this data is governed by their privacy policy and terms of use. As of the API terms, OpenAI does not use data submitted via the API to train their models.
Vercel
Pixel Morpher is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes requests to serve the site and may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, etc.) as part of their infrastructure. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
Data retention
We retain minimal data:
- Images and prompts: Not stored. Processed in memory and discarded.
- Rate limit data: IP-based usage counts reset daily (midnight UTC) or when the server restarts.
- Cookies: The rate limit cookie expires after one year unless you clear your browser data.
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal information beyond temporary technical data, there's generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete.
Children's privacy
Pixel Morpher is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Pixel Morpher after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
